On October 14th, our German partners hosted an internal meeting for the entirety of the Endless Conflicts team. This allowed us to listen to everyone’s contributions to the project so far, as well as plan our future events.
We were delighted to listen to Sofie-Marie Terrey and Ansgar Münichsdorfer introduce their preliminary findings about their respective chapters for the edited collection. Mr. Münichsdorfer’s presentation on legal constraints on development assistance in conflict-affected areas was followed by comments from Nathalie Weizmann, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), while Miss. Terrey’s presentation on protracted conflict and the right to water was followed by comments from Dr. Amrei Müller from University College Dublin (UCD).
We were also honoured to host Rebecca Richards, from the Peace and Conflicts Team at the UN World Food Programme, who led a discussion on the Programme’s involvement with the triple nexus.
